The Ruins of Angkor –an utterly amazing tour through the ruined temples of the Khmer Empire, including the famous Angkor Wat. The ruins of Angkor contain 70 temples scattered over about 50 square miles, with the biggest group located in Angkor Thom, the capital city of the Khmer Empire. They were built over a 500-year period between 790 and 1307 C.E., by a succession of Khmer kings.
Itinerary
We'll come and pick you up before the sun comes up around 4:30 in the morning. You'll then transfer directly to Angkor Wat where you will take up your position to see the sun come up over the towers of Angkor Wat. After witnessing the magical sunrise, you'll then be taken to explore the great temple of Angkor Wat. You'll spend a few hours in the temple and then we'll stop for breakfast.

You'll then head to the ancient city of Angkor Thom via y Gate, ( optional stops Ta Keo, Spean Thmor, Thomanon and Chay Say Thevoda. You'll then get to see the happy faces Bayon temple, Baphuon, Terrace of the Leper King, Terrace of the Elephants, Phimeanakas, Prasat Suor Prat and Southgate before heading back to hotel.

What to Expect
Start your tour with an early morning pickup from your Siem Reap hotel and travel to the Angkor Archaeological Park in the comfort of an air-conditioned minivan. Once you’ve purchased your entrance tickets (own expense), head through the little-visited western entrance to experience Angkor Wat at sunrise. After watching the magnificent sunrise, set out to explore Angkor Wat on a guided walking tour and listen as your guide points out notable architectural features and details the fascinating history of the Khmer Empire. Stop to enjoy breakfast (most hotels will provide a packed breakfast for guests on early tours) outside the temple, before continuing to visit Angkor Thom and the Bayon Temple. As the sun begins to heat up, make one last stop to see the ‘jungle temple’ of Ta Prohm, before being dropped back at your hotel in the early afternoon.
